Multistakeholder consultation on calculation of common candidate indicator 25 in Tunis

From the 13 to the 15 of February 2024, a consultation on calculation of common candidate indicator 25 (Land Cover Change) was organised in the conference hall at Golden Tulip El Mechtel hotel in Tunis in the framework of the GEF MedProgramme. Participants to the training included representatives from APAL, from the National Agency for Environmental Protection, from the National Institute for Statistics, from the National Institut for the Sciences and Technologies from the Sea, and from the Ministry of Environment.

During the 3 days of the workshop, PAP/RAC team of experts presented the process of calculating LCC indicator and a very rich discussion was held on the potentials of the LCC assessment for coastal planning and management. Finally, this consultation was a perfect opportunity to present some vulnerability studies which could be reproduced in Tunis in the framework of future projects.
